Prezentacija ključnih informacija i projektnih inicijativa

  1. 1. Izrada strateškog dokumenta: „Potencijali obnovljivih izvora energije na području Zeničko-dobojskog kantona“;

Info dana.

On August 14th, 2025, the Chamber of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton organized the 2nd Info Day within the framework of the international project LEEWAYLEading coopEration toWArds energy communities policies tackling energy povertY.

The event gathered representatives of legal entities identified by the Chamber as potential stakeholders in the project. These entities are engaged in activities related to energy efficiency and Renewable Energy Communities (REC), and are expected to gain specific technical, administrative, and professional benefits from the project.

Key Updates and Strategic Initiatives

Participants were presented with key insights from the 4th partner meeting of the LEEWAY project, held in Katowice, Poland, with a particular focus on:

  • policy instruments for the promotion of renewable energy,

  • good practices and examples from participating regions.

The Chamber of Economy of ZDK also presented two strategic initiatives launched in the previous period, both crucial for advancing energy transition in Zenica-Doboj Canton:

  1. 1. Development of a strategic document titled: "Potential of Renewable Energy Sources in the Zenica-Doboj Canton";

  2. 2. Addressing legal and technical barriers hindering the establishment of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) in the region.

Both initiatives were previously presented at the Katowice meeting and were shared with the attendees of the Info Day.

About the LEEWAY Project

  • exchange of experience among public authorities at different levels,

  • interregional cooperation and knowledge transfer.

The project is funded by the Interreg Europe Programme 2021–2027, a financial instrument that supports interregional cooperation among EU Member States, allowing regional and local actors to share and transfer knowledge on common regional development issues.
