SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Secondary Vocational Education – A Step Towards Dual Education

The quality of practical training conducted at business entities represents one of the key instruments through which businesses secure future generations of skilled labor. In this way, dual-organized vocational education within the vocational education system plays an important role in meeting the needs of businesses for qualified workers, as well as helping in the social and professional integration of young people. To achieve these goals, the decisive factor is the quality of practical training carried out at business entities and attended by future professionals as part of their education.

The cooperation between the two places of learning is an important factor in ensuring quality in this process. The partnership between secondary vocational/technical schools and business entities involved in vocational education is the key to ensuring satisfied and successful stakeholders: students/parents, educational institutions, and businesses.

The online presentation “A Step Towards Dual Education” and the database “Two Places of Learning” of existing partnerships between educational institutions and business entities offering workplace learning in the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) aim to make information about these processes publicly available.
