The challenges of modern life place existence, family security, stable income, and improving the quality of life at the forefront. The first step toward achieving these goals is education. The right to education is one of the fundamental human rights. Acquiring knowledge and improving skills lead to opportunities for enhancing quality of life, finding suitable employment, and ensuring a stable future for oneself and one’s family. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton has provided funds for the implementation of basic adult education programs, which are completely free for the citizens of this canton. The programs are designed to follow the same time cycles as regular classes in elementary schools of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. Applications for the program can be submitted via the website www.pkzedo.ba, by email at obrazovanjeodraslihzdk@pkzedo.ba, or directly at the school’s address.

Why is it good to apply for adult education programs?

The common belief that education ends with the highest academic degree in one’s early thirties is wrong. Education is a continuous process that, due to life circumstances, can be interrupted but can also be resumed. Adult education is an extremely important branch of the education system because it serves as a “second chance” — an opportunity to ensure and improve the quality of life, as well as to upgrade existing knowledge and skills with the aim of advancement and development. Essentially, adult education is a prerequisite for achieving self-realization and fulfilling one’s full personal potential.
